Inspired by the savage beauty if African tribal women mixed with the wild elegance of Grace Jones from the 1970’s . this collection is a heavily adorned fantasy of an almost mythical tribal princess in a land surrounded by the beautiful flora and fauna of the jungle. Animal prints take a prominent position in the looks, with zebra , leopard , crocodile , and serpent each playing a role -sometimes, these prints are left unadorned and draped in their natural elegance, while other looks take a more maximalist points of view with detailed embroidery, signature floral accents and feathers exaggerating the more structured garments. The color palette is predominantly black , brown , white and gold. And the fabrics range from cotton jersey to lush chiffon and orgaza. Decoupage is a signature technique of TIPA, so expect to see that on the runway as well.
